Pentanerv 300 MG

Pentanerv 300mg is an oral medication prescribed to patients for neuropathic pain & to cure partial seizures. It belongs to the class of anticonvulsant drugs that are very effective in pain relief.

Besides treating the conditions of neuropathy, it aids in curing hot flashes and postherpetic neuralgia. In short, it is prescribed to patients for the treatment of nerve pain and seizures. Pentanerv 300mg is used in combination with other medicines.

However, this anticonvulsant is not advisable to be used without a prescription. Some patients with serious health problems might not be prescribed this medicine. While some patients might be given an initial dosage, and if they don’t see adverse effects, it is continued.

Adults above 18 years of age can be prescribed it. But it is not for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

How does Pentanerv 300 work?

Pentanerv is a highly effective anticonvulsant. It heals neuropathic pain by affecting brain chemicals. It directs them to calm down and relax the nerves causing pain and seizures.

Please note that it may show effectiveness earlier or later, depending on the patient’s age, health conditions, and other such factors.

Dosage Instructions

• Take Pentanerv tablets exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
• Swallow the Pentanerv tablet as a whole with a glass of water once per day.
• Crushing, breaking, or chewing it should be avoided.
• It can be taken with or without meals. It will work effectively in both cases.
• Avoid alcohol consumption when you undergo treatment with Pentanerv. Both of them cause dizziness, and your health can be endangered if you get careless.
• Please don’t overdose on it, thinking that you’ll feel better faster. It may harm your health.
• If you are prescribed a lighter dosage of it, you may request a higher dosage from your doctor.
• If you think it is not working for you, ask your doctor for alternative medicines.
• In case of a missed or skipped dosage, you may continue with the next dosage as scheduled.

Note: It may take a few weeks (or a month for some patients) to see the effectiveness. Though it starts working as soon as you start using it, you cannot see the instant effects of relief.

Who should not use Pentanerv?

Pentanerv should not be used by patients:

• Who are allergic to Gabapentin
• Who currently undergo treatment for heart disease, kidney and liver diseases, eye conditions like Glaucoma, and so on
• Who has had a heart attack in the past six months
• Who are diabetic
• Who has a thyroid problem
• Who has suffered from urinary retention
• Who has low blood pressure problems
• People who frequently have suicidal thoughts, depression, and mental health problems

Storage Information

• Pentanerv should be stored at an average room temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius
• Keep it out of the reach of children

Drug Interactions

It may conflict with some medicines. Taking them along with it might show adverse effects. Talk to your doctor if you are taking any of the following drugs:

• Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors
• Heart or blood pressure medicines
• Tramadol (or similar painkillers)
• Levothyroxine
• Antidepressants
